1987 Dinan M6

BMW's 6 Series has long been prized as a personal luxury sports car.  It hasn't always been offered by BMW over the years, making them a rare sight.  Rarer still is the M6.  The first generation 6 Series ran from 1976 to1989.  After taking a long break in production, the second generation didn't make it's bow until 2003.   With the M, BMW improved the breed with better handling, bigger brakes and aggressive styling, which included a bigger air dam up front.  In 1987 Road & Track magazine called the M6 one of the fastest cars in America.  BMW only shipped 1,767 first generation M6s to the U.S., making them very rare and saught after.  Then Dinan took it to the next step.

Dinan is a world renown BMW tuner, producing finished cars, kits through authorized dealers and parts.   Dinan is also involved with the Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series "Daytona Prototype".  They have had a long standing arrangement with BMW, allowing cars modified with Dinan parts to remain under the factory warranty.  This BMW M6 features a Dinan Stroker Long Block and Cams.
